Arion focuses on excellence in engineering and design, but we don’t stop there. We recognize that for a Project to be successful, all phases of the project need to be considered.
We think about fabrication, construction, and installation in the design phase, asking ourselves and our partners about the impacts of our design on later phases. We take responsibility for ensuring the client’s best interest not only for the engineering and design, but the project as a whole.
A recent example of this “big picture” thinking is the recent design of a pump package. To optimize mass production at a Gulf Coast fabricator, we proposed a skidded package and then trucked it into place. Additionally, our design reduced transportation costs and time spent in the field.
We continually look for ways to cut costs.
We’re heavily invested in maximizing profits on our Clients’ investments. When we were tasked with confirming the design of a relief system for a large midstream facility - an older site - we found several undersized PSVs. Rather than suggesting that each of the PSVs should simply be replaced, Arion looked for creative ways the existing PSV could be safely operated. The result was significant cost savings for our client.
If it’s safe, and if it works, don’t fix it.
We are not in the business of selling manhours - we deliver completed projects on time and on budget. We believe this mindset is the only way to gain repeat business. To that end, if what you have in place is 1) safe, and 2) working well, we will tell you so and not manufacture unnecessary engineering or design work. Arion is laser-focused on Client satisfaction.
Off the shelf solutions.
A client recently commissioned a gas plant in West Texas. Within weeks, the plant was overproducing liquids - far more than the facility can handle. Arion was tasked with coming up with a solution…fast. Assessing the situation and taking swift action, we procured rental tanks and quickly put boots on the ground. Our onsite team then sketched out a layout and developed isolation plans to install the rental tanks by tying them into existing piping.
We are nimble, flexible, and mobilize quickly.
One of our clients did not have the staff to take the lead on decommissioning a rental Amine unit located in one of their facilities. Arion was asked to help lead the decommissioning effort and was on-site within a day to assess what needed to be done. Arion developed the isolation plans, work packages for construction, and coordinated the contractors at the site to ensure a safe and speedy execution.
Quick turnarounds = decreased costs.
Taking a holistic view of project life cycle management, A-Teamers take the need for clear direction to construction seriously. Work packs created to isolate, demo, and tie in brownfield construction projects are written with step-by-step instructions to reduce confusion and time spent in the field. Client feedback from a past project indicated the installation of our pump skid design reduced the time to install by at least 50%. Innovations in progress will further reduce install timelines.
